I remember reading an interview with Francois Kervorkian many many years ago around the time of early Body and Soul. I remember him stating that he could generally mix circles around most DJ’s but that mixing no longer really appealed to him. For him it was about programming. Playing the right records at the right time in the right order.
I remember be massively annoyed by that statement.

It took me a long time to get it, but I eventually did.
